The bodega has been the property of the Velasquez family since 1771 after it was confiscated from the Jesuit Friars by King Carlos 3rd of Spain in 1767. \u00a0A reorganization project took place in 1999 in which the installations were modernized and the vineyards were converted to organic farming methods.
