This wine guide is the primary publication used by the wine trade in Spain and this year is celebrating their 25<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In 1990 there were 3,000 Spanish wines listed in the Guia, this number has increased to 10,800 in 2015.\u00a0 It is produced also in English and German and is sold throughout the world. In fact Pe\u00f1in is very active internationally and organises wine events in Miami, Mexico, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Moscow and New York.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Over the years we have all seen, through our tastings and wine trips, the impressive improvement by the industry which now produces excellent wines bringing Spain to the forefront of wine production and quality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Matthew Kane from Casa del Vino will be assisting me in hosting this event with Jos\u00e9 \u00a0Pe\u00f1in and I think we can all look forward to a very interesting tasting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I mentioned in our previous Newsletter that we are very happy to extend this event to include any of your friends who are interested in wines and you are welcome to invite them as your guests. The Parador location can facilitate increased attendance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Detailed below is the <strong>menu choice:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Ist Course to share:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Cocas de Javea, homemade croquettes of mushrooms,\u00a0\u00a0 Tomato Cream with trout caviar, small floured squid rings, assorted cheese with tomato jam, crispy black pudding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Main Course:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Grilled Salmon with season vegetables and boiled potatoes<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Or<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Duck confit with seasonal vegetables and red fruits sauce.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Dessert.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Cheese Ice Cream with Carrot Jam<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Coffee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The cost is 30\u20ac for members and 35\u20ac for guests.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>We look forward to seeing you on the night but would recommend that reservations are made in good time, as we are expecting a good attendance<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Dress Code<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Members are reminded that the dress code for tastings in the autumn is jacket and or tie or smart casual but no shorts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Reservations and <u>Choice of Main Course<\/u>, please to: PENNY FLOODGATE Tel.\u00a0 96 579 4996\u00a0 or <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">email pennyfloodgate@gmail.com<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Reservations no later than the deadline <strong><em>12.00 noon on Monday September 14<\/em><\/strong> <u>cancellations and no shows after the deadline are liable for payment<\/u>.
