November tasting<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I welcomed 64 members and guests to Ca La Iaia and introduced the\u00a0speaker Alejandro Ramos Pezanco the commercial manager from Bodegas Vinicola Real S.L., Rioja.\u00a0 The Bodega was founded in 1989, by Miguel \u00c1ngel Rodr\u00edguez in Albelda de Iregua, (south of Logro\u00f1o) a town with a remarkable history whose roots go beyond the medieval era. \u00a0\u00a0Vin\u00edcola Real practices a traditional viticulture, focused on a specialized wine production. \u00a0\u00a0It achieves wines of small quantity but of great quality. The winery also works with organic fertilizers and without chemical treatments. \u00a0As Alejandro only spoke Spanish, Tim Fawle provided the translation.\u00a0 \u00a0A more detailed report on the tasting can be found on the web site under \u201cTastings \u2013 Recent Tastings\u201d or by clicking on\u00a0November Tasting<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Membership<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Your membership will be due for renewal by 1st January and is \u20ac20 per person. If you wish to renew it in December at the tasting in Restaurant Nau Nau, Tony Cabban will be happy to take your cash and give you a receipt.<\/span><\/p>\n

December Tasting <\/strong>Note early date 6th<\/sup> December<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The December Tasting will take place on the 6<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0December (<\/strong>note this is the first Thursday of the month<\/strong><\/span>)<\/strong> at the restaurant NAU NAU which is located in the Club Nautico in J\u00e1vea. If you are not familiar with the restaurant you can park in the street outside the Club Nautico then enter through the big arched entrance. Turn right and the restaurant is just about 25 metres ahead of you.<\/span><\/p>\n

This event is our Christmas meeting and there is no bodega presentation but I will choose some nice wines for you!\u00a0\u00a0 This is a member\u2019s only function and the\u00a0dress is Black Tie or dark lounge suit,<\/strong>\u00a0with appropriate dress for the ladies. Numbers are limited at this venue so please book early.<\/span><\/p>\n
