On the palate it is clean tasty and very fresh, with a long finish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The second blanco to be tasted was <strong>Dilema 2016<\/strong>, a 100% Verdejo from Bodegas Dilema in DO\u00a0Rueda.\u00a0 \u00a0This wine is pale yellow with greenish tones.\u00a0 It has a complex aroma with herbal and fennel touches, fine herbs, citrus and a tropical fruit background. It is a very well balanced wine with a rounded aftertaste.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6488\" style=\"width: 235px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbws.eu\/archive\/17-january-2019-restaurant-abiss-calpe\/dav-13\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6488\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6488\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6488\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cbws.eu\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_20190117_220411-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.cbws.eu\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_20190117_220411-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/www.cbws.eu\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_20190117_220411-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.cbws.eu\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_20190117_220411-400x533.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-6488\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Vote of Thanks<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The first red was <strong>Milflores 2017\u00a0<\/strong>from Bodega Palacio in DO Rioja.\u00a0 \u00a0A 100% Tempranillo it is a\u00a0brilliant cherry red with violet tones. On the nose the aroma of tempranillo of the Rioja Alavesa area predominates, although there are also notes of raspberry with hints of liquorice with fennel.\u00a0 The palate is fresh and broad with very friendly tannins.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Number two red was <strong>Misiva Roble 2017<\/strong>\u00a0from Bodega Vinedos de Aldeanueva in the DO of Ribera del Duero, it has been aged in French oak.\u00a0 \u00a0Intense and clean ruby red colour it is 100% Tempranillo with a very nice balsamic aroma soft and long lasting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The final red was <strong>Septiembre Roble 2017<\/strong> from Bodegas Uvaguilera also in the DO of Ribera del Duero.\u00a0 \u00a0Also 100%Tempranillo Septiembre has been matured in oak barrels for six moths.\u00a0 \u00a0It is concentrated, with intense colour, presenting on the nose a perfect balance between fruit and oak making it wide, complex and persistent while at the same time being smooth and elegant in the mouth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A vote of thanks was given to Maureen for her presentation by Gaby Ferenczy<\/span><\/p>\n<div id='gallery-2'
