<\/a>Welcome to our September Newsletter and I hope you have enjoyed a great summer.<\/p>\nI am pleased to advise you that our planned meeting at Restaurante Puerto Blanco, Calpe will take place on Thursday September 16, at 7.30 pm.\u00a0 This will be an informal \u201cWelcome Back\u201d event which will be in the beautiful garden of this restaurant.\u00a0 The current Covid 19 rules stipulate that the maximum number of people per table is 10, and this restaurant is well organised to ensure that the correct spacing is adhered to. I would ask you all to comply with the regulations and use masks whilst walking through the restaurant.<\/p>\n
The welcome cava\/white wine will be served at your table so, on arrival, once you have collected your table number you must make your way straight to your table and take your seat immediately. Whilst we realise that everyone will be happy to meet old friends again we cannot have a situation where large groups are standing together and chatting within the restaurant.<\/p>\n
We will have pre-selected wines for you to enjoy. There will be no presentation but we hope that you will enjoy discussing the wines with fellow members on each table.\u00a0 In the June Newsletter I did request people to advise me if they were interested in attending this event and we expect to have a good attendance.\u00a0 We do have room to invite a maximum of 10 guests, so if you do plan to invite guests you should advise Penny as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
As this is our first in-person event since February 2020, and as we have a number of new members, we will be operating our usual system of \u201cnames out of the hat\u201d for table seating to ensure everyone mixes with fellow members.<\/p>\n
Regarding the October Wine Tasting, this is planned to go ahead subject to revised restrictions which are published regularly.\u00a0 We will advise everyone of the location and theme of the tasting as soon as it is confirmed.<\/p>\n
We hope to see as many of you as possible at this first get-together and I hope that we can continue to meet in-person in the months ahead.<\/p>\n
