CBWS SURVEY \u2013 NOVEMBER 2021<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

You may recall that at our AGM in June your committee obtained approval on a proposal to develop a Tasting Team responsible for the development and implementation of next year\u2019s wine programme.<\/p>\n

CBWS is a well-oiled machine that has been successful for many years. Members enjoy a high standard of everything ranging from Top End locations, interesting tastings and good food as well as convivial conversation with fellow members. We should therefore develop a balance between new events and locations by improving the standard of our current offering.<\/p>\n

Rather than taking anything for granted, the Tasting Team would like to reach out to Members to get their views on a number of initiatives that we are planning to introduce next year.<\/p>\n

Please take a few moments to respond to the following questions:<\/p>\n

  1. Would you attend a fun \u201cquiz-type\u201d tasting, such as \u201cWhose Wine Is It Anyway\u201d<\/em><\/strong> which we have successfully presented a number of times in the past? Y\/N<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Would you attend a wine-pairing dinner event at an excellent local restaurant with the wines being selected jointly by the CBWS and the restaurant? Y\/N<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. We would like to give more support to our better local wine producers. Would you be interested in a tapas and wine tasting event arranged at a local bodega? Y\/N<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Would you support a day trip to one of the local bodegas followed by lunch to replace the monthly tasting? Y\/N<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Would you be interested in a sherry tasting event combined with a normal wine tasting dinner? Y\/N<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. We are now experiencing difficulty in attracting bodegas to make presentations at our events. Would you support the proposal that we arrange for an on-line presentation on a big screen at some of our future events? Y\/N<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. Our Society operates with the help of a group of dedicated volunteers. Would you be willing to support one or more of our future events? Y\/N<\/strong><\/li>\n
