Our first tasting of the year took place at<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Restaurante La Senia, Nou Roma Hotel, Denia. Prior to our tasting the AGM was held with 31 members attending \u00a0The minutes of the AGM will be available on the website by clicking<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbws.eu\/archive\/agm-2023-minutes\/\"> here<\/a> and if any member who did not attend the meeting would like a copy of the financial report please contact our Treasurer Mike Granville <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"mailto:mike@granvillefamily.org\">mike@granvillefamily.org<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A total of 44 members and guests \u00a0attended the tasting in the hotel\u2019s La Senia Restaurant\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The wines we\u00a0 tasted were those that had received the most points by CBWS members during 2022.\u00a0 We plan to start each year with a tasting of the highest scoring wines from the previous year and it was interesting to compare how these were scored by members on a second tasting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>A full report of the tasting can be accessed from the website by clicking <a Renewal<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Now is the time to pay your subscriptions for the year\u00a02023.\u00a0 The amount per person is make two transfers, one for the tasting and one for the subscriptions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Please check that your name still appears in the reference section \u2013 different banks name this section differently.\u00a0 A significant number of people don\u2019t insert their names here, which does complicate the accounting.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Next Tasting February 16, 2023 \u2013 7.30 pm<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our February tasting will be held at the Javea Golf Club hosted by Neville and Sara Richardson with guest speaker Gonzalo Lainez, a very interesting Wine Distributor based in the Costa Blanca who will be presenting some of the wines he distributes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Please make your booking will close as usual the Friday before the tasting which, for this month, is 12.00 noon on FRIDAY February 10. \u00a0Please ensure you make your booking in good time.\u00a0 Guests places will be confirmed by the previous Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Any cancellations after the deadline will still require payment to be made for you and\/or your
